Fernanda Rocha earned her Bachelors degree in Kinesiology from Federal University of Minas Gerais, Brazil. She applied her education in kinesiology and blended it with years of dance & fitness training to create her first Jiinga workout DVD, and launched her fitness clothing line.Fernanda managed health clubs in Brazil and came to the U.S. to study marketing and business at UCLA. She has worked and trained at Sports Club Irvine, Renaissance Club Sports, Crunch, LA Fitness and as a co-owner she brings over 13 years of health club experience to Art of Fitness & SPA in Laguna Beach - CA.
If Fernanda Rocha could name her number one passion it would be teaching and second to that... fitness. That's why it's so easy to understand when she says she's living out her dream, by combining her two passions.For the last decade and a half, Rocha has dedicated her life to this career, everything from group exercise classes, personal training, to even taking center stage at fitness conventions in the United States and abroad. Seven years ago she decided to launch her own Jiinga clothing line designed for instructors and workout enthusiast. It is an endeavor she started back in Brazil, where she created her own brand of fitness clothing line, created her Jiinga(tm) dance workout shortly after she graduated from college in Kinisiology/ Physical Education. When she moved to the United States, she continued to follow her passion. She now co-owns and runs Art of Fitness & SPA in Laguna Beach, California.
"I feel complete because my goal as a fitness instructor is to see that people create good energy through a great workout," she said. "I like helping them realize that they can change their lives when they are moving and exercising."When it comes to blessings, she affirms: "my God is everything", her family tops the list, Co-owning my own club Art of Fitness & SPA , creating my workout DVDs, designing my unique Jiinga clothing line that I am proud of, and living in the moment with good intentions and happy attitude....wow.... life doesn't get any better!
